Man shot near SF State campus

A man was shot Tuesday at 12:20 a.m. at Lake Merced Boulevard and Higuera Avenue, according to an email safety alert from SF State Vice President of Student Affairs, LuoLuo Hong. San Francisco police arrived at the scene to find the victim who was then transported to the hospital.

University police responded to the incident with extra security around the dorms and the library. There are no leads on the identity of the shooter or details on the case.

According to the alert, students, staff, and faculty are “encouraged to take extra care and precaution when moving about campus.”
