SF State judo looking into practice with UC Berkeley

Judo club is back and has big plans for the upcoming semester. Nick Mitchell, the judo club president, discussed the possibility of setting up an open mat practice with other colleges such as UC Berkeley. Mitchell also said that members of the club want to enter into City College of San Francisco's annual judo tournament. Phillip Kilmer is one of those members eager to compete. A brown belt, Kilmer has never competed in judo and wants to test his skills. Another goal for the judo club is to have more team building exercises. Next weekend the club plans to go on a hike. The goal of these off campus events is to build chemistry within the club as well as exercising.

They are looking for students to enroll in the experimental college course that takes place every Monday afternoon. A’s offer 50 percent off all food to promote new ticket plan

On Friday, the Oakland Athletics gave all fans half of concessions to promote A’s Access, a new ticket plan that replaces the conventional season ticket. A's Access is a new ticket membership plan announced by the team a month ago to give all members access to all 81 home games with different plans to upgrade their seat. Also included is 50 percent off all concessions, 25 percent off merchandise and discounted parking. The A's hosted the Seattle Mariners on August 31st and gave all fans the ability to have the same prices Access members will have during the 2019 season. Prices included $2.50 sodas, $3 hot dogs and even $4 beer. Many fans are exicited for the direction of the club both on the field and in the front office with the Dave Kaval leading the way with his commitment to keeping the team in Oakland and upgrading the Coliseum since his hiring in November 2016.
