The SF State cross-country teams’ toughest opponent at last Saturday’s California Collegiate Athletic Association championships was not one of the conference rivals running the wooded trails beside them. Surprisingly, the Gators’ biggest battle of the meet was with ill-timed injury and illness.

Most collegiate athletes see getting injured as a roadblock

The SF State men’s cross country team won its second straight meet by winning the collegiate open race at the Sundodger Invitational in Seattle, WA on Saturday.
The Gators finished first of 21 teams in the 8km race hosted by the University of Washington. Five runners finished
