Justice was served after a decade of allegations against Bill Cosby when he was finally convicted on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

The once known “America’s Dad,” according to CNN was sentenced to three to 10 years in state prison.

The internet is blowing up with the footage of Cosby leaving the court in handcuffs after being sentenced on charges of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand 14 years ago. He was booked into Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

Cosby was ordered to pay a fine of $25,000 as part of the sentence and will now be forever known as a “sexually violent predator.” This will make him a registered sex offender for life.

Although several women had accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them, Cosby had eluded justice until now. The long delays in justice for Cosby’s crimes led some SF State students to criticize the justice system.

“Our judicial system is fucked up, they look at rape and sexual assault like it is a misdemeanor,” said Dylan Kauzlarich, majoring in Mechanical Engineer. “They don’t seem to take it seriously. Like they don’t understand that these people’s lives are changed forever, but they just don’t seem to care.”
