SF State to test emergency alert system today

SF State’s Office of Emergency Preparedness will test its campus-wide emergency notification system today as part of a drill conducted every semester.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., everyone already subscribed to the University notification system will receive an alert in the form of a text message, email and phone call.

The University will also sound its outdoor warning system at 1:00 p.m., following the regular city-wide siren at noon.

Students are not required to act or respond to any of the notices, and the drill should be completed by 1:00 p.m.
