The World Series celebration Sunday night resulted in 35 arrests, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

After a night of fires, Muni buses being destroyed and rowdy crowds encountering the San Francisco Police Department in the streets, the DA’s office has their work cut out this evening with multiple cases needing review. When cases flowing into the DA’s office are once reviewed, charges will be decided accordingly, according to a press release from the District Attorney’s Office.

“The Giants winning the World Series is cause for celebration, not destruction,” District Attorney George Gascón said in a press statement. “Sunday night’s violence and vandalism does not reflect the spirit of the Giants’ against all odds victory. Peaceful celebrations are encouraged and welcome. Destruction of property and violence, however, will not be tolerated.”

Cases are still coming in through the DA office and are being sorted through, according to Stephanie Ong Stillman, the DA’s spokeswoman. Ten cases have been reviewed and given charges and, of those 10, nine of the charges have been released. The majority was planned to be reviewed this afternoon, according to the statement.

The charges include assault on a police officer, negligent discharge on a firearm, robbery, resisting arrest with force, threats, battery and arson of property,according to a press release from the District Attorney’s Office.
