Two people were arrested on SF State campus yesterday afternoon after they stole a laptop from a mall shopper, then fled to campus, according to University authorities.
Three people stole the laptop from a shopper near the Apple Store in Stonestown Galleria, then fled the scene in a Honda. The trio drove to Holloway Avenue at about 2:15 p.m. where an officer from the San Francisco Police Department attempted to pull them over, according to Nan Broadbent, assistant director of SF State media relations.
The University Police Department joined in the chase after the suspects fled on foot, catching two of them and recovering the stolen laptop. They were detained for questioning by SFPD concerning the alleged strong arm robbery.
The two have no connection to SF State.
