First responders received a call shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday morning from staff in the Humanities Building reporting a medical emergency.
One faculty member, who did not want to be named, described her colleague as having stroke-like symptoms as she frantically attempted to get the attention of emergency staff.
“We do not know what happened yet,” said University Police Officer Frank Ruiz. “It was a medical emergency with a staff member; that’s all we know right now,” Ruiz said.
First responders declined to commit on the situation to Golden Gate Xpress staff as they made their way back to the ambulance.
Xpress will update this story as soon as more information becomes available on the condition of the staff member.
