Collaborating with the San Francisco Giants and SF State, Blood Centers of the Pacific will hold a blood drive on Thursday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Annex 1.
Those who donate blood will receive a free, limited edition Giants t-shirt, indicating they helped save lives. The blood center says that one pint of blood saves three lives.
Donors will also receive two tickets to the Giants game on Sept. 26 against the San Diego Padres.
The Giants mascot, Lou Seal, will also be making an appearance at the blood drive, paving the way for a photo opportunity later in the afternoon.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 888-393-GIVE, or 888-393-4483. They can also be made online at bloodheroes.com. Walk-ins are welcomed, however, wait times could vary depending on how busy the event will be.
Earlier this summer, Blood Centers of the Pacific also held a similar blood drive, partnering with the Oakland Athletics. They also partnered with the NBA champion Golden State Warriors this past season.
General requirements for donating blood can be found here.
