More than 5,000 customers lost power on the west side of San Francisco this evening after a car hit a pole on the 300 block of West Portal Avenue, according to PG&E.
The outage began at 9:15 p.m. and originally left 5,557 customers without power according to PG&E spokesperson Jana Morris.
It is unclear whether anyone was hurt or not in the accident.
Outages were reported in parts of West Portal, St. Francis Woods, Sunset and Parkside.
Around 89 customers are still without power, and PG&E expects full power to be restored by 11:30 p.m.
