The smell of beer and pizza filled the air at Golden Gate Park as the SF State theater and cinema students ran around base-to-base for a game of sloshball on Saturday, April 6.
Team “Players Club,” which consisted of theater students, snatched the 19-16 win against “Cinema Collective,” which was mainly cinema major students.
The game basically follows the rules of kickball, except every player holds a cup of beer. When up to kick, it was likely that the player’s beer would splash everywhere. But the rules say no empty beer allowed. Each player’s cup must be full at all times. Every time a player had an empty cup, fellow teammates would rush to refill the cup with more beer; an empty cup meant fill up, or get off the field.
