SF State has named Charles Guthrie the new athletic director today, May 14, after nearly a year of searching for a new one.
Former Athletic Director Michael J. Simpson retired in July 2013, and Bill Nefel has stepped in until now as interim athletic director.
Guthrie previously held the same position at Clark College of Vancouver, Wash. Guthrie will officially take over the position July 1.
