In April a group of diaspora authors met at SF State to talk about language, homeland and cultural heritage. The event was called “Kuwentuhan talkstories,” arranged by the Poetry Center and by author Barbara Jane Reyes, who teaches literature at SF State. Poets featured at the event were Javier Huerta, Barbara Jane Reyes, Lehua M. Taitano, Angela Narciso Torres and Steve Dickinson.
