Cal State LA snaps San Francisco State’s two game win streak in a 3-0 sweep on Saturday, September 8. The loss sets SF State back to a 6-3 record overall and a 1-1 conference record. This is the first California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) conference loss of the season.
The Gators are 3-3 at home and 1-0 away.
Even with home court advantage, SF State lost their sets 25-19, 25-18, and 25-15. Cal State LA led SF State in total kills 44-28. The Gators struggled on setting up the kill with a .101 hitting percentage. SF State’s Vanessa Ditz led the Gators with 19 digs. Drew Morris led the team in kills with 9 followed by Jessica Haynie with 7 and Olivia Tabron with 4.
SF State will play UC San Diego in La Jolla, CA at Rimac Arena on Friday, September 14.
