The SF State Gators are set for a doubleheader against Chico State Friday, May 3rd at noon and 3:00pm from Maloney Field.

The Gators are coming off a 1-3 series against Stanislaus State, going scoreless in their last game of the series.

Hoping to bounce back, SF State can build on their one win in that series with an impressive pitching performance by Riley Cleary. Overall, SF State is 22-15-1 on the season and can improve on their 8-8-1 home record with this series.

Chico State is coming off an impressive 4-0 series win at home against Sonoma State. Chico State’s overall record sits at 25-18 and are dangerous on the road.

While both teams are getting gearing up for CCAA postseason run, they have a chance to perfect their game with these two evenly-matched teams. Both squads want to set a precedent leading into the playoffs and what a better way than to leave it out on the field.
