Women’s track and field travels to Turlock, California this Saturday, May 11 to close out the regular season at the Warriors Last Chance Meet.
Last week, the Gators won the 2019 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women’s Track and Field Championship for the second straight year and only the third year any SF State sport has won the conference championship. The Gators climbed up the national rankings this week, moving six spots to the No. 6 in the country and trails the No. 5 Angelo State by less than a point.
SF State was successful at the 2018 Warriors Last Chance Meet, Destiny Mack-Talalemotu placed first in shot put with a 15.84m throw. Jazmine Smith took first in the 400m with a 55.31, and Bibiana Enriquez placed second with a 2:14.21 800m.
Following the regular season finale, the Gators will head to the Kingsville, Texas on May 23 for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
