The Gators will focus their attention on Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday, April 12 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the SF State Softball Field.
SF State now has a nine-game winning streak, excluding the Tournament of Champions. The nine-game win streak includes three sweeps.
In these nine-games, SF State has a run differential 62 to 12. A plus 50 run difference.
The Gators sit in fourth place in CCAA play with a 19-12 record (26-15 overall). They’ll play Monterey Bay. CSUMB is behind the Gators in the standings with a 17-11 record in CCAA play (21-17 overall).
The close records call for more urgency.
“Monterey is a good team,” SF State coach Alicia Reid said. “We’ve always had good games against them and you always come out with something a little extra. It’s a big weekend. It’s an opportunity to create some distance from them.”
