The SF State women’s basketball team will play Cal State East Bay on Thursday, Feb 14th in Hayward, California.
The Gators will look to end their six-game losing streak finally. The team was victorious in their last meeting against the Pioneers on Monday, Dec. 17, 69-60 at The Swamp.
The Gators came off a tough home loss against Sonoma State. They allowed 46 points in the paint off of 56 percent shooting while only scoring 22 points in the first half. The offense has been hard to come by.
“It is going to be tough,” head coach Natasha Smith said. “We just have to play hard for 40 minutes, be smart and play together. Those three things.”
The Gators, who are 7-9 in conference play sit on the outside of the playoff picture at the moment with only six regular season games remaining. The team looks to make a push for playoff positioning.
“We just have to play together,” guard Amani Alexander said. “Communicate, talk, help.”
