Santiago Contreras is a reporter for Golden Gate Xpress. He is majoring in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts (BECA) and minoring in journalism. He was born in San Francisco and raised in San Rafael, California, known as “the City With a Mission.” He is currently a resident of Rohnert Park, California. He previously worked for the National Parks Conservancy as a Habitat Restoration Contractor out of Fort Cronkite, Sausalito. During his free time, he enjoys surfing, and he gets amusement from the sound of a two-key stroke on the piano when no one else is around.
