Several buildings at SF State lost power Thursday around 8:30 p.m., according to numerous reports from students.
The outage was isolated to the campus as power remained on in surrounding neighborhoods and PG & E spokeswoman Jana Morris said that all of their equipment was functioning properly.
“Our technicians ran all of our normal tests and everything appears to be normal on our end,” she said.
The outage was caused by when an electrical feeder switch flipped for an unknown reason causing blackouts in roughly half of the buildings at SF State including the J. Paul Leonard and Sutro Libraries, Student Services and Humanities, according to SF State spokeswoman Ellen Griffin.
