Though Ireland may be more than 6,000 miles away, this doesn’t stop San Francisco from taking part in Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations.

On Saturday, March 16, hundreds gathered to watch the 162nd annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, the day before the actual holiday, celebrating Irish culture and tradition. This year, the theme of the parade was “Honoring Celtic Women.”

The parade took its course, making it’s way down Market Street to the Civic Center.
