For food lovers, the Vista Room is the mother lode of all things culinary at SF State.
Located in Burk Hall room 401, the functioning lab class offers hungry patrons the chance to taste hand-crafted culinary creations ranging from Frisee Salad with Duck Confit, to Eggplant Parmigiana, or Chickpea and Vegetable Tagine.
“Our philosophy here at the Vista Room is to showcase local produce,” said Chef Tim Shaw. “We also want to guide these students on how to make it in Hospitality Management.”
