The SF State Gators Hockey Club drops the puck on its sophomore season in the Pacific Collegiate Hockey Association on Sept. 27, hoping to make the playoffs for the first time.
The road to glory won’t be an easy one to trek, however. Between the opening faceoff of the first game in late September against San Jose State and the final buzzer of its last bout versus the Stanford Cardinal in February, the team will traverse the farthest reaches of the Bay Area and collide with some stiff competition.
