The Oakland Pride Parade and Festival extols positivity, love, and the acceptance of one another within the LGBTQ community annually, with this year taking place in downtown Oakland, Calif. The festival and its creators seek to educate the greater community about equality, civic involvement and responsibility for others in a ever-changing social landscape.
