Faculty approves new proposal for college reorganization

The newest proposal for college reorganization, proposed by President Robert Corrigan, has been approved by the faculty of SF State with 235.93 “yes” votes of the 380 votes cast.

The Academic Senate Executive Committee released results Friday after the week-long referendum ended Wednesday.  Corrigan and Provost Sue Rosser also asked for the advice of faculty on the proposal that would merge the current eight colleges of SF State into six.

The newest proposal has been given the highest approval rating, 62 percent, of the four restructuring options presented to faculty this semester.
