Shuttle drivers provide a glimpse into new buses

Monday. January 26, SF State students ride to school from the Daly City Bart station on the newly improved shuttle on their first day back at school after winter break.

SF State debuted a slew of new buses Jan. 26 to replace old shuttles that transport students and faculty between campus and the Daly City BART station. The drivers of those shuttles must obtain a class B license to keep their jobs.  Drivers Lonell Massey and Steven Thysell described what it takes to obtain the new license and what goes into a day of driving the new buses. Student Travis Koonze also weights in on the pros and cons of the new transit option.
