Indecent exposure reported at the J. Paul Leonard library

An indecent exposure incident occurred in the J. Paul Leonard library Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened at 3:19 p.m. on April 1 when a non-SF State affiliated female, who was studying on the fourth floor of the library, alerted the University Police Department of a man with his shorts down, holding his erect penis while staring at her. The man fled the scene after she gave him a “disgusted look.”

The victim described the subject as a white male, 5’8” tall, approximately 21-23 years old with a thin physique and light facial hair. University police searched buildings and nearby areas but failed to locate the suspect.

The UPD released an email yesterday notifying the SF State community about the incident, but is has not been available for further comments on the matter.

This is the second campus incident of this kind during this semester — the first incident occurred on Jan. 27 on the second floor of the Humanities Building.
